    Danish-Spanish dancer and choreographer.
    Selene started dancing when she was only three years old. At the age of 14 she went on to train at Flamenco Academy “Amor de Dios” and later at Royal Conservatory of Dance in Madrid.

    Selene has performed all over the world, including: Guggenheim Museum in New York, World Expo in Shanghai, Flamenco Festival of London and USA, Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid, SUMA Flamenca, David Tower in Jerusalem, FIB – Bergen International Festival, Malmö Summer Festival, Royal Danish Theatres, Danish Opera, Skuespilhuset, Louisiana Museum in Denmark, Østre Gasværk, Flamenco Festival of Copenhagen, International Guitar Festival of Denmark, Lisinski Concert Hall in Croatia, Flamenco Festival of Zagreb, and Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow.

    She has engaged in collaborations with dancers from the NYCBallet, with H.M. Queen Margrethe II of Denmark where she performed in The Nutcracker at the Tivoli Concert Hall and with The Tambour corps from The Royal Danish Life Guard, The Piazzolla Orchestra…

    Selene also served as choreographer and principal dancer for two years in Alexander Kølpin´s International Ballet of Copenhagen “Sommerballet” at the Bellevue Theatre.

    She has performed for the Royal Danish Family on several occasions, amongst those she performed at the Danish Crownprince Culture Awards and at the celebrations of the 75th birthday of H.M. Queen Margrethe II at the Concert Hall Aarhus.

    In 2016, Selene premiered her new production “PRESENCE” in Aarhus at Bora Bora Theater and later in Dansehallerne in Copenhagen.
    and she participated in the big production “Morricone” created by The Event Ministery at The Royal Danish Theater.

    In 2014, Selene premiered her show “Libertad”, and the same year, she collaborated with cellists from The Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra.

    Selene gives workshops and master classes all around Europe, Asia and the United States. She has taught artists from Cirque Du Soleil and dancers at The Royal Danish Ballet school.

    Awards and nominations:
    Selene has been granted several awards for her work. Amongst these are:
    2013 Three awards for “Alegría de papel” in the choreography competition “Certamen de Coreografía de Danza Española y Flamenco”
    The Neel Resling Halpern grant
    The Vibeke Rørvigs grant
    2012 Nominated as Best Dancer of The Year in the pristigious Danish Awards “Reumert”
    2009 Best choreograpy “A donde vas amor” in “Certamen de Coreografía de Danza Española y Flamenco”
    2006 Prize “Fotoescena” for best image on stage in “Certamen de Coreografía de Danza Española y Flamenco”

    During the 2012 Campaign Against Cancer, Selene won first price with her choreorgaphy “Ritmout” in The Danish Television Show “Vild Med Dans”. The prize money was $3.7 million which she donated to The Foundation Against Cancer.
